GMAE point # 25. Illinois Masonic Academic Bowl [Maximum 5 Points] — The Lodge participates in the annual Illinois Masonic Academic Bowl tournament as follows:

a. Lodge sponsors a high school for $150 and 2 Lodge voting members attend the Sectional Tournament event in which their school is competing = 1 point : Glenbard South High School (Our Sponsored HS) WHICH IS COMPETING AT WAUBONSIE VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL (host school) at 2590 Ogden Avenue, Aurora, IL 60504 USA

b. Lodge sponsors an additional high school for $150 and 2 Lodge members attend the Sectional Tournament event in which this school is competing = 1 point :   Roycemore High School which is the HOST HS located at 1200 Davis Street, Evanston, IL 60201 USA.

c. 2 Lodge voting members attend the State Tournament event (must be present for a minimum of 4 rounds of competition) = 1 point

d. 2 additional Lodge voting members attend the State Tournament event (must be present for a minimum of 4 rounds of competition) = 1 point

e. Lodge hosts an Academic Bowl dinner including the students, their families and coaches associated with the school(s) sponsored by the Lodge = 1 point

A/B : Saturday 22nd February 2025 is the date for the Sectional tournament @0830hrs

C/D : Saturday 08th March 2025 is the date for the State tournament

Mark your calendars for the 2025 Illinois Masonic Academic Bowl Sectional Tournament. The tournament will occur at multiple locations across the state.

Lodges will again have the opportunity to sponsor local high school scholastic teams to participate in our tournament. Your participation could earn points for the Grand Master's Award of Excellence.
