Visitation to Tokyo Lodge #2 - July Stated Meeting

It's been a while since I posted anything...time and effort being focused on our move to Japan.  But following my May visit to Illinois, I was interested in reaching out and making connections to English speaking brethren in Japan.  July saw me in Tokyo, and I was able to connect with the brethren of Tokyo Lodge #2 through the G.L. of Illinois (formal introduction process was followed per G.L. protocol).

Since the G.L. of Japan HQ which housed the Scottish Rite and Blue Lodge temples was recently torn down, they are meeting in a temporary home in a Tokyo office building (a 4-5 year process before they find a permanent home in their new building).  Even so, I was able to enjoy a vibrant evening of making new connections and enjoying the fellowship of the brethren in Japan.  Tokyo Lodge #2 does their business in English. Worshipful Master Ken Kurosawa was a fantastic host and made me feel right at home!  I was also gifted with a beautiful medal imprinted with their lodge logo...which I plan to wear next chance I get.

Their Stated meeting was seamless, and I passed on the deepest respects from WB Manfred Kehrer, our current Master, as well as offer our deep wishes to all the brethren to feel free visit to Wheeling Lodge #81 if they ever have the opportunity to visit Illinois.  As for me, I hope to repeat my visit to Tokyo Lodge #2 in the near future!  If any of you have an interest in visiting Japan, it's worth while to try and find an opportunity to sit in lodge in Tokyo.

Best - WB Patrick
